U2

We got to go to the U2 concert about a week ago! We'd been anticipating it for a loooong time: bought the tickets around Sept '09, gave them to Matt for Christmas in '09, then the show was supposed to be May 2010, but Bono broke his back very inconveniently and had to have emergency surgery.... So, being the Superstars that they are, they rescheduled for May 2011.

And it was AMAZING. Sooo much fun!!! Second only to Aggie Football games, it was the most fun I've ever had with 80,000 other people. :)

weekend in Dallas

After our trip to Gulf Shores we went to Dallas for a quick visit with Sarah and Luke. We also got to see our great friends Melanie & Josh, and Nathan & Bethany.

We were so lucky that Josh and Melanie just happened to be in town at the same time!

We went to our old apartment & took a photo on the porch :) How we miss the Sycamore Tree!

... we ate at Gloria's... twice.

... and went for walks in all of our favorite neighborhoods.

...yay for sister time! :)

Gulf Shores

We went to Gulf Shores, Alabama last week with our great friends, the Barhams. We had an amazing few days on the beach, soaking in the sunshine and enjoying temps in the 80s. I was so impressed with the beach and would love to go back!

After hearing so much about it from the Barhams, we finally got to experience the Flora-bama and their awesome signature drink, the Bushwhacker. This was first time I had ever been to Florida!

And we got to spend the week with the three cutest kids on the planet. So much fun!

While we were there, I turned 28! Mary Jackson made me this amazing red velvet cake :)

daffodils

"I wandered lonely as a cloud
that floats on high o'er vales and hills,
when all at once I saw a crowd,
a host, of golden daffodils."
- William Wordsworth

We visited Wordsworth's hometown of Grasmere when we were in England last October. Apparently, we share very similar sentiments about the coming of Spring (and summer)!

here are some of my favorites from this spring...
